The patient is a 37-year-old male with a history of right upper quadrant pain following fatty meals. He had presented to the ED multiple times over the course of a year with biliary colic. He had a BMI of 45. Upon inspection during the case, there is a very thickened gall bladder packed with stones, which is likely evidence of chronic cholecystitis. This also made the case technically more challenging.
