The Wayzata girls golf team is shooting for big things again this spring– once they can get outside. The Trojans have been practicing indoors as they work to get swings in before golf courses and driving ranges are open.
The team finished second in Section 6AAA last season and returns three girls who competed in the section tournament last spring– Amy Burnham, Melanie Leminh and Anna St. Martin.
Wayzata has a good turnout of players this season and expects to compete well in both the tough Lake Conference and Section 6AAA. The team is scheduled to play its first match of the year on April 18th against defending state champion Edina.
